At the Cody-Pettit, we feel honored to represent some the the North Coast's most accomplished local artists. The gallery generally exhibits representational work (though not exclusively), particularly plein air landscapes and still lives or figurative pieces executed from life.

   

"It's the sort of work we gravitate toward, which makes it a natural," notes Bill Cody. "We figure that if we'd personally love to own the work, it's much easier to represent."

Both Bruce and Bill have a profound respect for the tenacity it takes for an artist to pursue a high level of technical and aesthetic expertise. "Artists generally have to sacrifice a great deal in order to pursure their passion," says Bill. "We consider it an honor to do whatever we can to support their creative process."
