Bill Cody and Bruce Pettit

About the Gallery

The Cody-Pettit Gallery is a collaborative endeavor between William F. (Bill) Cody and Bruce Pettit, two well-respected local authorities on both the North Coast art community and “everything old.” The gallery is adjacent to Bruce’s shop, Heritage Antiques, a mumbo-jumbo assemblage of rare and not so rare stuff – old art, antiquities, coins, jewelry, collectibles – you name it. You never know what you might find amidst the clutter at Heritage. Bruce has been in the business for thirty-plus years and has built a reputation locally as the guy who knows a little something about everything. He’s particularly passionate about old paintings (California artists make him swoon), coins and Native American artifacts.

As the former owner of both Buffalo Bill’s Antiques and the Cody Gallery, Bill Cody also has more than thirty years experience in buying, selling and restoring antiques, particularly American oak furniture. Bill is also an award-winning photographer and married to a painter (obviously represented by the gallery), making him well versed in the local art community.
